Day 5b - Jerusalem (Via Dolorosa)

No... the Via Dolorosa doesn't start with the Birth Place of Mary, but that was the first thing I saw to take a picture of :)
The Birth Place of Mary?

Only the signs all along the way let you know you're on the Via Dolorosa
Oh, around this time we stopped for lunch. This is a *really* good drink.
I think it was made with lime... but I don't remember what was in it.

Real Lebanese Food! :) Lunch in Jerusalem!

Back on the Via Dolorosa

Stations of the Cross: Simon of Cyrene

This is one of the "stations of the cross", and it's the slab upon which they lay the body of Jesus after He had died
This was the painting just above that slab

I think this was the outskirts of the Antonia Fortress...

Next Stop: The Herodian Fortress during the Bar-Kochba rebellion in the Inter-Testamental Period
